Women’s Etro Pre-Fall 2022 Collection

Etro embraced a Nordic inspiration for her incredible pre-fall collection, displaying a cozy, relaxed vibe.

Creative Director Veronica Etro and her brother Kean unveiled their latest Etro Pre-Fall 2022 Collection campaign titled “Nordic New-Normal”. It features and focuses on a wintry, outdoor inspiration that the creative director refused to link to any specific country or culture. “It’s like a celebration of everything Nordic,” said Veronica.

For this young and gender-fluid campaign, Veronica focused on taking her family’s legacy a step further but keeping its style to the full: charming prints, free-spirited yet sophisticated. “It’s about constantly elaborating and expanding our lexicon of wanderlust and bohemia with newness and a fresh ésprit,” she said. “I like to be challenged.”

The lineup also features a charming combination of winter whites matched with vibrant shades, from orange and yellow to green and turquoise. Moreover, knitwear stole the spotlight with fringed robe coats, maxi ponchos layered on denim outfits and hoodies trimmed with passementerie, all with ETRO’s signature while bringing a dramatic twist to them.

The lightweight turtlenecks are layered under cool pinstriped suits. There were also jacquard knitted sets with young vibes and chic quilted jackets in printed floral silk linings, chic caftan dresses, loose-fitting pyjama suits, loungewear-inspired robes and kimono jackets.

Military jackets with maxi pockets were also present, mainly in mannish cargo pants. The Etro’s signature maxidresses were featured prints, giving the pieces an airy, breezy feel.

As regards accessories, the brand included knitted collars to under jackets and ponchos to embroidered belts, full of “a folk feeling”. Boots highlighted the cosy, versatile look spirit of this appealing collection.
