Trends like these are always fun to spot and that is exactly what it was for us when we started writing about them in this article.

Carolina Herrera Spring 2023 collection

New York took a break from its busy life for the New York Fashion week. Extravagant shows and experimental street-style seemed like the mandate for designers. Besides, the city buzzed with influencers, celebs and designers who flocked to the city after 18 long months to attend the Fashion Week.

While unveiling key pieces and trends for the new upcoming Spring 2023, this time, designers made sure we had plenty to look forward to, and while we definitely spotted seasonal classics on the runway, we also saw plenty of fresh and chic innovative designs we will be wearing in the upcoming season. Plenty of skin on display on the runways was also seen – though the overall interpretation of sexiness was less on-the-nose than it has been in past seasons. Moreover, sequins were truly ‘80s – see Michael Kors’ Spring 2023 show and its Old Hollywood red and black pieces. PatBo and Carolina Herrera surprised us with 3-D floral embroidery, appliqués, and floral-shaped ruffles, turning this trend interesting once again.

We’ve scouted the New York Fashion Week runway shows to bring you a cheat sheet for the season’s biggest Spring 2023 trends. From bright colours and front cutouts to florals, here are the seven main fashion trends for Spring 2023:

Blazers are always going to be a fashion must-have piece. Its versatility and style rock any style. It makes us look formal, but at the same time stylish and glamorous.
