Ralph Lauren Returned for FW 2022 With a Touch of American Spirit
Ralph Lauren presented his Fall/Winter 22 Ready-To-Wear collection, which was held in New York City, specifically at the MoMa.
Ralph Lauren unveiled his Fall-Winter Ready-To-Wear 2022 collection with a reflection of classic American luxury in a replica of his living room. The outstanding brand presented his latest collection at the Museum of Modern Art (New York), which according to Lauren was the perfect place to showcase its newest runway collection. “I think the world is wanting some warmth,” Lauren said during a preview. “And for the cleanliness and sleekness of the clothes, the black-and-white sensibility, MoMA was the perfect place,” he added, joking that his actual apartment is “a lot smaller.“
“My Fall/Winter 2022 Collection is a celebration of the timeless style of black and white emboldened in the sleek lines of tailored silhouettes for both men and women,” says Ralph Lauren. “As we come back together, I wanted to share it in an intimate environment within the iconic beauty of The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.” He added.
Guests like Janelle Monaé, Henry Golding, Jessica Chastain and more sat in the glamorous, yet classic comfort of Lauren’s living room that included black leather lounge chairs, matching coffee tables and pictures that showcased the views of Central Park that are present in Lauren’s real apartment.
The Ralph Lauren Fall-Winter 2022 collection infused a touch of romance and the American Spirit with the pops of red that emerge in the black and white palette. Moreover, the designer wanted to celebrate the charm of personal style through this season of Women’s Collection and Men’s Purple Label.
The menswear featured pinstripes, hounds tooth, and tartan. The collection itself carried off subtle gentleman looks with a touch of elegance. The womenswear incorporated refined luxury. It also included pieces like regal gowns, contemporary pantsuits, skirts and blouses with ribbon attachments were also protagonist throughout the collection. Taking the modern woman from day to evening with ease. Evening wear is prominent throughout the collection and reflected an enduring elegance.
As regards accessories, Ralph Lauren presented The Wellington Handbags, which debuted on the runway with new seasonal iterations such as the Doctor Bag. Jessica Chastain was seen wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection beaded jumpsuit with a tuxedo jacket, carrying a black Wellington handbag.
Within the ready-to-wear category, footwear came in two-tone designs of contrasting black and white. There were also a selection of feminine pumps and sandals in pinstripe and velvet fabrications.
