Versace Spring/Summer 2023 Collection at Milan Fashion Week Men’s
Donatella Versace presented her spring/summer ’23 collection back at home at the Versace mansion on Via Gesu in Milan on Saturday.
Donatella Versace recruited the children of Mark Vanderloo, Helena Christensen, Carla Bruni, Meghan Douglas, André van Noord and Angela Lindvall, famous Versace models from the 1990s, to make their modelling debut on its Spring runway.
The show gained momentum as models glided between spinning green metallic pedestals to the beat of a soundtrack of songs that mentioned the Versace brand.

Versace returned to the brand’s historic showplace on Via Gesu for this revival and dug into the archives, retrieving prints his brother Gianni had created for La Scala productions in the 1990s, a logo from the early 2000s and diamond-shaped cuts in the leather that have been widely copied.
What stood out was a more playful approach to the house’s iconic prints. The Greek’s faces statues were blown up on silk polo shirts and fun camp shirts, and gold ceramic patterns looked quite sensational on the loose black shirts and pants that closed the show.
“Reanimated graphic prints in pop colours appear on shirts and T-shirts, creating new iconic Versace visual signatures. Versace Home objects are worn as prized possessions and a further demonstration of the Versace world. The colours of the collection are characteristically bright, with two-tone and neon striped suits, metallic jackets, and crisp orange, blue and white coming together for overall cool quality. The Medusa Hobo Repeat, an archival Versace hobo bag presented in a new reissue, comes in an XL size that wraps around the shoulder. Shoes, handbags and accessories include metallic formal shoes, diamond handbags and printed python skin styles.” – by Versace.
Aside from the Versace Home pieces carried on the runway, the Hobo La Medusa Repeat, a reissue of the Versace hobo bag in an XL shoulder size along with other accessories and shoes were also present.
Several models carried Versace vases under their arms with the same jellyfish symbol as the small invitation plates. “This is a Versace world” We have a home collection. We have a lot of different things,” Donatella Versace said with a shrug.
“What I love about this new generation is that they like to dare. You can see they are curious,” enthused Versace during a preview at the brand’s elegant Milan headquarters.
