Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2022 collection in Milan Fashion Week

Glitter lit up the runway at the Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan, where the designer duo presented their 2000s-inspired spring 2022 women’s collection.

Dolce Gabbana came back to the runway. This time, the signature unveiled its latest “DG Light” Spring 2022 Ready-To-Wear collection, which pushes the boundaries of joy and optimism in a celebration of the 2000s, presenting essential silhouettes blend with hyper volumes, mix & match styles, and iconic and sexy confidence.

It was certainly a reinterpretation of the aesthetic codes of the 2000s and, the references certainly are not subtle.

The show came with a brilliant staging so that, immersed in a disco atmosphere (with mirror games and loud music), the models dazzled with their hybrids. Between sheer fabrics, lace, transparencies, minis (very minis), wild prints and their infallible denim touch, sequins, metallic finishes and, inlaid rhinestone details made the spring 2022 collection illuminate the fashion week in Milan.

Moreover, the show light theme came into play via reflective embellishments, from all-over sequins and shiny jacquard to gemstone-studded purple jeans. 

The 60s decade was also present, mainly in the form of a mini shift dress with matching go-go boots. The 80s popped up in a slashed-neck, tie-dye Jennifer Lopez tee and also in a couple of giants ruffled shirt shoulders.
